Default Transmission Identification

alright so I was at the junk yard and i was looking for a z6 transmission. I did come up on a d series tranny but the vin tag was missing. I did find c5e marked on the transmission. Does any one know how to Identify a z6 or y8 tranny?

There is a stamp on the back passenger side next to the axle. They should both be b000. the a000 is dx
