TRANS HELP
ok my girl friend has a 93 del sol. She just got a new paint job and body kit.(typical girl car). But n e way when she has it in neutral and has the clutch in and starts coming to a stop ther is a loud weeeeeeeeeeew noise, kinda like the power anttenae motor when u turn the car on, but the thing is it doesnt happen all the time and its very random at the moment. the clutch is new and i have no idea wut could be making the noise. Any expertise would be helpful im not familiar with imports.thanks.

Throwout bearing? Thats my guess. Did you replace it with the clutch? A worn throwout bearing caused my tranny to do a "wooshing" noise and not all the time too. I just dropped my tranny and the throwout bearing is really bad.

It is a DIY if you have the skill to remove the tranny. Not hard at all. I just dropped my tranny and the throwout bearing is trashed. doesn't even spin. Eat up my press. plate real nice. Went through about half way on the press. plate. While your in there if you do the work replace the pilot bearing too. I popped mine out and the bearing is real loose and worn. If the clutch was just done, most of the time the clutch kit comes with a new throwout bearing. It is just standard to replace it when in there.
