I have a 92 Dx Hatch with a 98 Dx stock motor in it. The other day I was driving and stopped at a light. When the light turned green I tryed to shift into first but it wouldnt let me. Then I tryed to take off in second (I was on the highway with alot of cars beeping at me...) and it wouldnt let me shift there either. Then after playing with it for a couple of seconds it finally went into first. At first I thought it was my shift linkage. But then my 3rd and 4th gear began to pop out of gear sometimes. I've searched all morning for this but had no luck. Any suggestions?

1. You may be low on tranny fluid. You will have to check.
2. You clutch master cylinder may be low on fluid. Again, you will have to check.

Also, was there any grinds when you where shifting?

Well my third gear use to grind a little bit before but not the bad. Also when I turn the car up in the morning it makes a wierd nose like a dragon fly flapping its wings( couldnt think of anything else to describe it lol)

this should never leak. unless it's seeping from somewhere crack, plugs, or seals. then there is a different problem that has to be addressed.

Oh yea sorry guys but I forgot to tell you that I never had any leaks from my car. This morning I noticed my driveway had spots from my car. So I took a look under my car and saw some tranny fluid leaking...sorry again for not putting this earlier..

Very true. Just some pointers for OP to look at. I too have not seen a completely sealed tranny go low on fluid.

Now you have to find where the leak is.

1. Axle seals
2. Loose drain plug
3. Cracked tranny housing
4. Loose countershaft plug
5. Loose fill plug

You can start there.
