Default Tranny issues....98 civic hatch

Hello fellow H-T members...

I've been having problems with my transmission....its been making a lot of noise and when i step on the clutch it goes away...well...i replaced the clutch like roughly....october of last year...and now it's slipping again...I'm currently using the exedy "new clutch kit" clutch.....it says new clutch kit on it...so im guessing its just a normal one...but i can't believe how fast its wearing out...well i narrowed it down to 2 things that could be wrong....the input shaft bearing...or the throwout bearing....but not really sure....if the throwout bearing is messed up, it wouldn't release so wouldn't that conclude to a worn clutch disc making it slipping? please help me....thanks in advance....

If the noise sounds like a tickking/grinding noise, it could be the transmission bearings. I have heard of them going out. In fact, my 98 hatch stock transmission is doing this right now and is exhibiting most of the symptoms you are describing. No real way to fix it without a transmission rebuild.

Same exact thing for me but i only paid $1100 to be fix but tomorrow im giving it back because it makes a grinding noise when im in first but no other gear so they might have to find me another tranny (I just bought the car, so thinking of selling it and finding another one because its giving me so many problems)
