Can anybody help me out with the gap I have with my rear bumper!
How do I eliminate this gap? I tried putting it in the white clip, but it doesnt hold.

Re: (JDMEK9CA)
me and buddy drilled a hole through both the rear bumper and the rear quarter panel, so its hidden and no one can see, we that got aluminum screws washers and bolts, painted that with rust resisntant spray paint, (and try to find rust resistant spray paint that matches your car as closely and possible, you have black so thats an easy one,) and then screw them together, and if you can, we made that mistake of using metal washers, buy the super tough rubber ones, they are like at home-depot or lowes for 2 bucks.
but only try this after you are sure that a bracket or such is bent and not able to be bent back into place, use this as a last resort, also i forgot, put that rust resistant spray on the rear quarter panel where you drilled a hole, so it doesnt rust, caz your bumper is plastic and the quarter panel is metal, good luck

remove the bumper and check the plastic clips on either side of the car, and bend the sheet metal that holds the bumper under the tail lights, the plastic should be sandwiched between two pieces of sheet metal just under the tail light in addition to the clips that hold it on where the trunk closes

I had this same problem on my 96 coupe(mine was much worse). Mine sat way lower and it was like that on both sides.
All you gotta do is remove the bumper, and there are some metal brackets just under the tail lights that the bumper sits on; just bend these guys up a bit and reinstall the bumper and just hold the bumper in place as you put the screws in and that should help. If this doesnt work you gotta take the bumper back off again and do some more bending.

body shop might be the best bet. Maybe they will let you watch so you know what to do?
I personally would get an OEM bumper...
Where it hangs low, you may want to try to add/improve the fasteners.
Good luck, be sure to post results and methods

I have the same proplem with my OEM one, I think its because the bumper sages down after a while, and short of putting some sort of brace or adding new screws under it theres not a lot you can do about it.
