It's around 2 quarts, but I don't think a full 2. I always buy three at the dealership just in case. Then I'll always have some to top off for next time.

Honda recommends Honda MTF. A substitute is motor oil, but you should not use a multiweight (10w-40, 10w-30 etc...) it should be a straight oil (30W, 40W) although I can't remember which wieght it is. Check your manual, it will be specified.
You can also use Penzoil Synchromesh, wich is available at all parts stores in a yellow tapered bottle. There isn't any difference between that and Honda MTF, and it's more readily available.
