Re: tps question... LOOK (Eg_Hatch)
the two codes are independent-you've got a problem in both the TPS circuit and the VTEC solenoid circuit.did the car previously run okay,or have youhad these since the swap was done?trace the wiring for both to make sure they're hooked up and going to the right ECU pin.if that doesn't work, get a manual and do the troubleshooting procedure for both sensors.

no the swap was just done like a few weeks ago but i needed a tps. When i got that, then my friend wired everything and it was still throwing TPS, and vtec? Can a tps go bad? I got it of a single that was missed up, and OLD... ?????

Re: tps question... LOOK (Eg_Hatch)
did the TPS come off a dual-point injection car or a multi-point car?did you calibrate it after installing it?yuo can use the troubleshooting method in the manusal to test if it is operating correctly and calibrated..let me know if you can't find the troubleshooting procedure and i'll tell yuo how to do it.
any progress with the VTEC code?
what ECU are you running?

just so you know.. you dont just stick the tps in and it works.. not unless you are lucky.. you have to get a multimeter and test the current and make sure its adjusted right or youll still get a tps code..
its supposed to read .5 at idle and 4.5 at wot
