TPS Calibration Problem
When I bought my 93 del sol d15b7 it did not come with a TPS sensor on the TB. I have since then went out to get one (techsmart from advanced auto parts). I have tried calibrating the TPS a few times already but I can never get it to exactly .48v and 4.5v. I set WOT to 4.5 but at closed throttle I am barely getting .2v. I had to adjust my TS a bunch to get it to the right value but when I do that it leaves the throttle plate open and I can hear the whistle of air passing the plate. I had left it at .48v and 4.7v yesterday and it was running okay but I would really like to get it perfect. Any ideas? If I can't get it perfect is it more important for the closed throttle to be perfect or WOT?

Re: TPS Calibration Problem
adjust at wot first perfect then adjust the closed its not as important if its like .2v under at closed or somthing not over though
and there is a huge difference getting it perfect
this is a good write up for it

Re: TPS Calibration Problem
When your throttle is closed, it will let some air through - it has to for the motor to idle. If you're currently at .48/4.7, open your throttle stop a hair to bring it to .68/4.7, then adjust the TPS to bring it down to .48/4.5
Honestly, though, what you have is "close enough". I wouldn't worry about it.

Re: TPS Calibration Problem
Yeah I used that guide for the calibration but I couldn't get it just right. The problem with doing what you suggested NotARacist is that it leaves me with an idle that is too high. I know that I could adjust it with the idle adjust screw but that is already all the way in and I have a decent idle like this. When I set it perfectly at .48 and 4.5v my idle was around 1.2-1.4k rpms. I wish there was a way to have it calibrated perfect and have my idle around the proper specs. You are right though, it is running much better now especially considering how it was running before it had a tps.
