was looking through the vids on turbo d16 and there was this post for a turbo d16 that got up to 175mph but definitely don't think your buddy got to 180 on a stock d16

my d16z6 that was in my del sol was modded for all motor , it had a stage 2 clutch and flywheel oem head gasket and arp head studs etc etc.... it topped out at 130mph in fifth, with the lsd add on for the tranny it would hit 140 or so pushing it at redline. I have gone 178mph in my turbo gsr b18c1 ,..... but the bottom end is fully built with oem sleeves, eagle rods and wiesco pistons, acl bearings etc etc .. topping out is more of a transmission mod, the lsd kits expessive but worth it even for d series lol!! it will top out higher and pull a lot better!! I don't have lsd mod on my gsr but I do have an Ls trany with a stage 3 act clutch this is cause the GSR gears are shorter than an LS transmissions, LS can handle the hp you throw at them and they top out better because Honda made the LS transmission to compensate for not have Vtec ,so they made the gears longer in the ls trany than GSR so its a good trany swap even if your not turbo and just have vtec on oem ecu. . keep in mind this is a fully built b18c 1.8 DOHC dude , its not a kseries but its roughly 375 to the wheels on 14psi so its no joke ....but 180 in a d series is a 30-40 mph stretch homie !! im new to Honda Tech but not Hondas lol!!

unless its turboed and built that's a different story because its forced induction on a 1.6 , if it was sleeved and built with a good trim turbo it will pull hella strong with a good high end tune of course!

mine isnt stock but i had my d16 at 160-165 before the front end started lifting
