English? Or rather, comprehensible english...
Edit: Don't mean to sound rude. Just a little hard to decipher is your cryptic question.

beat the cup off with a hammer and a block of wood. turn it upside down and reinstall it so it is a dome instead of a cup. now set the coilover sleeve on top of the dome. problem solved. at least thats what i did. oh and no its not welded. its just on there really tite

good idea, but sounds crazy to me. If you it a pothole at like 80 and that cup drops, your going to be put into a spin, because the tire will lock up in the fender well. If you want more of a drop, just get rid of the sleve all together and put the coil sping in the by itself, or remove one of the lock perches. I have done both myself and with one lock perch, it does move a little but not much.

yeah I got some cheap Sears struts on my old SI, and had to cut the cups at the bottom. (well I should say gring cause I ground them away with a die grinder). Only problem is that you will have some SHARP edges down there after you cut them, and its a good idea to file down all the rough edges so you dont cut your hand next time you try to lower your car (I learned the hard way ouch!)

if you put the cup on upside down it cant drop off. its the same as putting it on right side up only its upside down. there is still a piece there that keeps it from falling. ive had mine like this for about 25000 niles and have had no probs. with it. i also travel about 120 miles a day. so trust me its not crazy.

I never even knew that you could flip them, I thought it was welded on there. So is there a lip of some sort that the cup then welds to? I'll have to check that out when I get home.

if i took it completely off and sat the coil sleeve on the notches that hold the spring cup on, would it be safe?
