Default Check Engine Light from intake

I put a cai on my car and my check engine light came on. i went to autozone(i know, they dont know **** about my car) and had them run their free diagnostic. the guy said the ecu was massing up because of the extra air going into the motor. i tried resetting the ecu, but to no avail. Did the stock airbox have more than one plug going into it? if so that might be my problem....

pull you negative battery cable, or both of them for a minute or so, and then put them back on... it should reset everything.

what year is your car? I have two on my 99 and they both need to be reading something off the CAI. When I did some work on my car I let one sensor hanging out and some smoke was blowing off the header and caused a CEL. Unhooked the bat, put the sensor in and everythign was fine.

You need to reset your ECU, take it to Honda dealership they do it for $20 bux. Or DIY.

When I put my CAI in my civic, my engine light cam on too. I waited about a week and I guess it reset itself b/c the light was off one morning. You might want to try waiting if nothing else seems to be working.

they just hook up some machine under the dash and it gives a signal as to why the check engine light is on, then they reset it, but i got mine done for free when my speed sensor was broken.

Intake temperature sensor anyone? I forgot to plug mine back in after a CAI install and got the CEL.

Try disconnecting the negative battery terminal for a minute or so. I know with mine, that worked. I have also heard that after a certain number of starts, it will reset but I don't know about that. Good luck

Just drill another hold in you intake and put it in there, then you should be all set. Otherwise, see if you can get some sort of split adapter so that you can fit both into the one hole.
