Default Tires and Fender Hitting help!!!

I just got tires size 205/50r15 for my 98 ex coupe, when I drive and hit a big or even small bump on the road, the tires and bottom of the fender grind on each other making a screeching sound.

My car is dropped but has a finger gap between the tire and the fender.

I don't know why this is happening, because I know that tire size 205/50r15 are not to big for a coupe.

Tires are Kumhos Escta

Could it be because of the tires or the shocks, or my fender need fender rolling?

If anyone knowhow to fix this problem help me out thx!

( and please do not say raise up your car, I like the looks of it drop )

Well if they are rubbing, you may want to look into getting your fenders rolled. I have the same size and im slightly tucked in the front, and i have no problems whatsoever.
Also, make sure your fender-well lining isnt like falling out and making contact with the tire, have you gotten the car up, and taken a look in and around that area?

inner liner is the material that blocks dust under the fender right?

mines doing the same thing, gc with koni yellows. thought it was too low that was causing the scraping, but it wasn't. fender is bent badly...bad aligning of the fender...so check that....shouldn't matter cause of the tire size at all...

If you take the inner liners out it just makes the stock fenders rust.. and will ruin your door hinges in about a year or two.. You could roll the lip on the fender.. but you have to be really careful and go just a little bit at a time or you'll crease the fender... I took mine off and used a baseball bat and rolled it.. it worked really nice. but then again i only dropped my hatch 2" and i think my tires are 195/55/15

ok guys -- i have a 2000 hatch lowered on tein s springs and 17" rims - and i also had the 15" sunflowers....

the fix to this problem first roll the fenders with a baseball bat or hit it slightly with a sledge hammer.

next - replace your strut mounts - what's happening is that as you take turns or hit a bump your shock is being pushed upwards causing your wheel to hit.

try this - open your hood and look at your shocks - now bouce the front of the car. if you see the shaft of the shock come through the middle of the mount then they need replacing.

i replaced mine and now i take 90 degree sharp as turns and nothing hits.

also - DO NOT REMOVE YOUR WHEEL WELL / INNER WHEEL LINING - you will be paying for the rust removal and dirt/sluge build up later.
