Tips for BAR day
The car is a 2000 Civic EK, motor is a 2000 B18c1. I just got the immobilizer removed from the ECU and the swap is nearly complete. I was hoping for some advice on BAR day on people who have experienced it as well as some questions answered.
- I heard you could use an aftermarket CAT as long as its approved by a list that the BAR puts out, is this true or must I get and use an OEM gsr cat?
- What's up with "monitors" and how many are there, and exactly in what conditions do I activate these monitors?
- I got the immobilizer removed off my ecu, HOWEVER, by small chance it fails, do you think I can use a 97-99 obd2a ecu with a jumper harness, or is that an automatic fail?
- Did anyone get hassled by the ref for a CARB E.O. intake, such as AEM or K&N or were the refs cool about it?
- If you got any other advice for me for BAR day, I'd appreciate it!
Thanks everyone!
