90k miles and about $300 worth of work. If you have any know how, it is easy and you should just DIY.

Re: Timming Belt Replacement (jmezz)
I just did it 2 weeks ago, and it was pretty easy. It is time consuming for doing it the first time, but it is pretty straight forward. I will find you a walk-through on it for a single cam motor. Not sure what you drive, but mine is a dual cam. I just posted a walk-through earlier today or last night.

If you're mechanically inclinded and have a second set of hands (and a Helms and appropriate tools), it's really not that hard. But 90k is recommended mileage and ~$300 is going rate for the job. If you end up getting it done by a shop, ask what else is replaced while doing the job (drive belts, water pump, tensioner, etc...).

Its really easy to do with the motor out of the car. With it in the car there is a little bit more work involved like removing the drivers side motor mount...

So it would have been easier to take my entire motor out to take the belt off than to just take the belt off?
Except, it is generally harder to get the crank bolt off since you don't have as much leverage.
