timing problem on rebuilt b18c6 engine

timing problem on rebuilt b18c6 engine
hope somone can help with this, got a sol with a b18c6 engine which has just been rebuilt, the problem is the car is running at TDC even with the distributor fully pushed over towards bulkhead, when reved itll go towards the 3 timing marks but idle at TDC, does anyone know what could be causing this or how to adjust it?

OMG you have a b18c6???i thought it was a mis-spelling in the header but its not...dude i hate to break it to ya, theres no such engine

yes there is a b18c6 its just a UK type R motor, a b18c7 is a Australian type r motor I think you should shut your pie hole
To the op make sure your cams are lined up properly

my bad i thought all foreign honda engines just said b18c...i didnt know they had numbers after them like usdm...i stand corrected to me

OP:
Set the crank at TDC by lining up the one white timing mark on the crank pulley up with the pointer on the lower timing cover, and then make sure that both cams have "UP" facing upwards and that the timing marks on them are pointing perfectly at each other towards each other if looking at them head on from the driver's side of the vehicle.
Sounds like one or both cams is off a tooth ot two.
BTW even the timing light could show perfect timing if only the exhaust cam is off a tooth.
