timing issues?
1995 honda civic 1.5L sedan. Has problem off idle and through powerband at hard full throttle (Stomping it.). Runs better barely getting into it (slower than normal driving). Changed the O2 sensor and the distributor. Not sure where to go from here. throwing no codes.

Re: timing issues?
Even though the CEL isn't lit up try jumpering the service connector to make sure there are no stored codes.
Spark, Air , Fuel..which one(s) isn't sufficient? Do a power-balance (drop) test by pulling off fuel injector harness one at a time and listen for a drop in idle. During this test a drop in idle is normal and concern comes in if one or more cylinders do not drop in idle or one cylinder doesn't drop idle as much as the others.
Check mechanical timing..the belt may have jumped a tooth/teeth.
Check ignition timing by jumpering the service connector, engine idle and using a timing light.
A clogged catalytic convertor can cause poor performance
Future reference: don't throw parts at it without testing first.
