Timing belts for B Series
Hi I was wondering any body have good experience with GATES BLUE RACING TIMING BELT. they claim to make belts for Power Enterprises, Greddy , Toda And HKS. I had OEM honda Belts which lose some teeth on the belt due to abuse like redlining shifting quick, down shifting, 5th gear to 3rd gear ( under 3 years ) dont get me wrong i had a oem belt with 200,000miles on it. currently i have the enterprise belt with about 20,000 miles on B18c 2.0 turbo. its been about 5 years, no cracks or teeth missing! installed blue buts its black now. i heard greddy and hks is great but havent got full info on any breaking. im going with a different set up cause my cylinder wall cracked so my other b18c will be changing pistons, turbo, going back to 1.8L with a/c n steering trying to get 270 miles off a full tank.
Please leave feed back on the belt you had experiences! thanks

Re: Timing belts for B Series
well i guess Gates dont sound too bad if they manufacture oem belts then i'm sold especially if kevlar in it. i know the blue on the belt wears out. gates mixes it in so it stays blue i guess its there way of copy right there belts. i bought an pep boy belt which snapped at less then a year. cheap quality there!

its pepboys...
gates makes awesome belts. serpentine or timing.
and yes gates makes at least a few of those companies. so buy the gates one at more then half the price and enjoy it.
