timing belt and ignition timing 96 civic
I have a 1996 Honda Civic DX sedan. I just replaced it with a used engine with 60k. car runs great but lost of power. when aligning cam and crank the UP on the cam points DOWN when aligned. when running the engine its too retard.
My question is
the distributor is all the way advanced but still retard.
The cam shaft seems to be 180 degree off.
When I remove the timing belt how do i rotate the camshaft correctly without interfering with the crank shaft? will it interfere?
what would be the correct procedure to keep the car running with timing and ignition timing.
Again. car runs fine but ignition timing is off=lost of power.
Thanks
