Default throwing a code

my friend has an EK style hatch with a b16a SIR2 OBD1 swap with the stock b16 ecu.. he throws a code after about 10 min of normal driving.. but then when you turn off the car and turn it back on its gone.. so we cant really check it.. it doesnt seem to be doing any negative affects at all but we were just wondering what it could be.

i was wondering if you could jump the harness and pull the code if the car is still running? because otherwise it doesnt stay on

its probably a 45. when you start the car again it usually goes away then comes back. make sure your fuel pressure is correct.

that would make sense bc the fuel line is leaking a tiny bit and the car is sucking gas like no other so thanks.. but if anyone else has input just say.

yes...you can check codes while the engine is running. i left a wire in my jumpers and my check engine light was blinking codes while i was driving.

you can still check the code when you turn the motor off. just because the car is throwing a code while you are driving doesnt mean the code is erased from the ecu when you turn the motor off. just use the jumper while the car is off and read the code. if you cant read any codes while the motor is off, then its not that big of a deal. correct me if im wrong anyone.

the code is a 15... ignition input signal.. but i searched and usually when i throws that code the car wont start.. is there anyway we couldve read iit wrong and it could be a code 5 then? bc there is 1 long flas right when you turn the key to on and i know for a fact that there are 5 short ones.. so a CODE 5 is a map sensor code.. which one sounds more like it??
