Throwing CEL (67) question, and need help finding converter in CA...
1996 LX
I'm tight on money and the car runs like crap when it's cold, I'm throwing a CEL (67). Is it possible it could be something else like an o2 sensor or am I stuck getting a new cat?
And I've been looking everywhere for a catalytic converter but their all over $600 and that's something I just can't afford right now.
Does anyone know a place that would carry them cheap and legal so that the car will pass smog? It needs to meet CA's outrageous emission laws.
Opinions/suggestions appreciated, thanks.
Edit: Would an o2 sensor from a 95 EX fit on the 96 LX? At least that way I could see if the sensor is actually bad or not.
