There's a chance that it was just time for the TPS sensor to die..

you sure youre not using the OEM map sensor plug? they are identical with the exception of wire colors

well its really messed up.. I hooked me old ECU back up that was kinda fried.. it runs good, but just throws the map sensor all the time.. and it dont even throw the TP sensor with this one plugged up ro anything i can tach it out all the way... I switched the plugs making sure im not using the map sensor for it, still didnt fix it with the chipped ecu.. we put the stock injectors and everything back to stock ran the chipped ecu and it still dies wont run at all tach to 2500 rpm and dies.. but runs fine with old ecu which is burnt o.O hmm We say the chipped ECU is messed up..

well, if you have an ecu thats burnt.... then you shouldnt have it in the car. chances are that burnt ecu may have caused the the problem you are having. who chipped the ECU? it could also be a problem with the program

i actually socket ecus myself. there is often red or yellow grease pencil markings on them. this is not uncommon. if you think its the ECU, send it back to them to be tested
