MAP Sensor acting up!!
ive been boosted for about three weeks now...the car was running alright till last week! im using a SAFC II to control the 450's....the wastegate is set at 9psi, but it occasionally creeps to 10psi.
Anyway, my problem is i get code 3 whenever i let go of gas. i dont need to be boosting or anything...all i have to do is take my foot off the accelerator, and there's the code! but if i try to gradually ease my foot off, its a lil better, and by gradually, i mean reeeaaal slow.
So is is my MAP sensor busted? would using check valves/missing link help solve this???

Re: MAP Sensor acting up!! (quicksilver17981)
It's a pressure spike from when you close the throttle, your MAP sensor sends an overly high signal back to the ECU and it kicks the CEL 3. The problem is two fold: you need to take more fuel out to lower MAP sensor signal so that the MAP sensor can't send an overly high reading back to the ECU... if you take out more fuel, are you running rich enough inder boost? Short term fix is to bump the fuel pressure, better yet is to ditch the AFC hack.
Missing link defeats the purpose of the AFC hack. Search a little on the subject, see what you come up with.

Re: MAP Sensor acting up!! (quicksilver17981)
okay, i was messing around with the safc yesterday...does the deceleration air upper limit setting have anything to do with this??
or could it be my bov (crushed 1g dsm)? would changing it to an uncrushed one help??
and i was looking into getting a GM 3bar map sensor, i tried a 2 bar one yesterday, but i had problems running the car, without it bogging down.
does anyone know the settings for the sensor no. in n out on the safc, for the 2bar, 3bar and the stock sensor?
again...i dont get a code whn im boosting....just whn im cruising n i let go of the gas pedal
