For Those Of You With Magnaflow Mufflers, Please Read This Thread!
I am in the market for a stock looking muffler, I have read many threads that the Magnaflow mufflers are very good when it comes to quality, finish and sound. BTW, the 5x8 oval ones should work for my EK hatch correct? I was wondering which of the following are you guys using? Any input would be greatly appreciated. I was also wondering, how would it sound on stock piping?

I have the 14832 Model on my 95 Ex. Its not an incredibly loud sound, just a nice low hum? I love it. Its not incredibly annoying, but It lets me know I've got some exhaust. Awesome sound. Great look.

i have the 14829 with custom 2.25" piping and a resonator..... flow is better then stock... it has a deep tone but is also quiet.... not crazy loud... but just a little louder then stock.... below 4,000 rpms you can hear the deep tone in the car..but anything higher then 4,000 rpm the intake takes over.... overall im happy with it!

there are tests done by mugen from their long ago sohc days that proven little no no real gain over the mid piping from a stock motor. in actuallity, the little displaced motor will want a smaller pipe for keeping its velocity higher.
just get a muffler, thats the real restriction from a stock exhaust AFTER the the cat.

Aren't magnaflows mostly for high performance? My friend's dad has a 5x8 oval (I think?) on his GSR boosted EG and its nice and deep with 3" piping, and compared to a D-Series on 2.25" piping, it sounds really ricey...
