Yes the brackets are cast iron, but i painted them silver to match the block.

The A/C mount however IS aluminum (a factory optional part) normally its cast Iron aswel.

For the price you could also buy a head online and have it fully built in any configuration you want for $1000+.
Lol...I agree with you man. (See Page 2) It doesn't compute for me the swap, but as a honda fan I can respect the time, money, and dedication going into the swap. I think my hangup on the swap is throwing so much money into the project, probably b/c Im looking at the backend. I have too many friends with b18c5's selling their 15-20k money pits for $5500. It sucks, but you can't sell type R B series cars when K cars are barely selling for 6500 these days.

To OP...your money, your dream, your car...amazing job. I enjoy reading it, I just cringe at the price sheets. Thats a clean, clean, clean motor, lol.

Edit---there is something to be said for building a well built car vs buying someones rigged up type r civic with rot and who knows what.

For the A/C bracket, its a JDM N1 Honda Part.
http://www.inlinefour.com/jdmtypalacmo.html

if you want to use A/C you'll need to drill/tap the threads for the compressor to mount up. (the N1 aluminum bracket has the holes, but no threads)

Once you bolt the aluminum bracket to the block, you can use your standard EK torque mount thats on the bottom of the frame rail.

I mention this in the first part of this video.
