Thieves tried to steal my stereo! (tech inside)
ok my car got broken into, they popped the window off the track and got in, the then pulled the battery cable off to kill the alarm, they then tried to open my trunk (95 civic coupe) where i have some stereo equipment. I locked the trunk with the lock mechanism at the trunk release(by the handles where you open them with the key) and they tried to pry the whole thing to get the trunk open, they even try to pry it from the outside and it did not open.
now for the tech.
when they try to pry the trunk release open they bent the whole thing to crap and when i try to open it i unlocked it and it still wont open, i need help trying to open the trunk, any ideas or suggestions, the handles are bent all to hell but no release.
now for the tech.

Do the seat backs fold down in the rear of coupes? Or can you possibly remove them from inside the cabin of the car? You could have someone crawl into the trunk from inside the car, and try to work at opening the trunk from the inside, while you mess with the release

i forgot to tell you guys that i dont have the key hole inside the car to un-lock and fold down the seats and i shaved the trunk key hole on the outside, so the only way to open the trunk is for the release lever that is all bent to hell.

Hey lsd b16a civiceg, if you're still reading this come to Dallas some time and try to take my 97 Civic HX, its a red coupe, still has stock wheels, but the stereo can probably get you a couple grand. It's been broken into twice, and completely stolen once. I'll probably be at the Tinseltown Plano parking lot most Saturday nights watching a movie, so that'll give you a couple hours to have at it. Any other theifs reading this, go for it. I would love to see someone try just one more time.

Just hope you're not typing this from your home PC. And don't ever post pictures of your car on this site, or some other handy craftsman better than you could pay you a visit.

Re: (Noe Kozz)
ok how the hell do you pop the window off the track from outside the car? i had enough trouble changing mine from the inside when a rock broke it. how would a theif get it off from outside if i can barely do it inside?

Re: (93hybrid)
you know on your door sill. the track along the side of the door. you can pop that off and then there is going to be two cables. one for the gas tank and one for the trunk. pull one of them and see which one opens. then do the other for the trunk or what not. thats what i had to do and its simple. just pop off the plastic peice and pull the cable then pop opens it is. hope that helps and yes thefts suck!! bastards die in hell!! .B
