Default Thicker exhaust manifold gasket???

I am in need of a thicker exhaust manifold gasket to make some exhaust rigging work. Anyone know of where I can get my hands on one or who may make one? Its for a VTEC del sol with a B16. Any information is greatly appreciated, thanks guys!

why not use two gaskets with some high temp gasket spray in between them?

Do you think that would seal okay? I heard the SCE copper one is about .06 inches thick and I thought since its copper and meant to fill gaps more with a softer material, maybe I could use two of those? Thoughts?

yes, it will seal good. i have shity *** DC Sport header that cracked everywhere and i welded them and then it was leaking at the head so i replaced the gasket and it got better but still sounded nasty so i put another new gasket with no silicone **** and now it don't leak at all.

Why do you need a thicker gasket?

I assume his header pipes are hitting his block. I've heard of issues involving aftermarket headers and B16s, due to there being multiple styles of headers meant to fit various B series engines.

Maybe not the answer you're looking for, but how about finding a header that was meant to fit your engine, or if you're truely looking to make your's fit by shimming it outwards, maybe a flange off an old header, ground flat (preferably using a mill and then a surface grinder) to act as a spacer.

A properly designed header has a lot of engineering put into them for a reason. The diameter and length of every section is the way it is to create a scavenging effect at a desired RPM level, and rigging something can throw it off. That being said, a DC Sports or cheap eBay headers look like they'd flow about as well as a stock cast manifold, if that, and I could not see any way you could harm one of those any worse than they were when it was originally built.

Got the RMF replicas from VTECKIDD and he has pretty much been ignoring me since I told him they touch the block. I figured if I could get a little thicker gasket it should be okay since it barely contacts. Any other thoughts?

I would go with the two gaskets seeing as they only mess up the header's engineering by minimal amounts.

Think about the hondata intake manifold gasket (spacer) it doesn't mess up the flow/engineering of the intake manifold

Yeah, I am going to try a few OEM gaskets and hope for the best. I am just hoping its thick enough, those gaskets even though they are a few layers, are still very thin. Wish me luck guys. Welded an extension onto the JDM type R converter so that will work fine now, looking forward to seeing how it feels after.
