thermostat
whats up guys, i got a b16 in my hatch and my thermostat aint opening up. should i just go to kragen and get a thermostat for a 00 si (b16a2)? its the same motor almost.

yes go to a parts store and get a thermostat for your motor. just tell them you have whichever model/year vehicle the motor came out of. less thought processing for the parts guy

Most of the parts are interchangeable between the different generation B16's. Just tell him that or a '93-95 Del Sol (DOHC vtec). Be careful with other parts though, as I ran into a problem with my water pump, as when I changed it, I needed an ITR pump. ??. Anyway, the thermostat should be the same for the Civic (SI) and Del Sol (DOHC vtec of course).

damn $80 for a thermostat..... just take a stock one and drill a hole in it.
