yea, but it ain't worth it. just get yours bead blasted and spray paint it. that's what i did, and it would look exactly the same if i just took the paint off the lettering and H emblem.

how does he not know anything- that's probably the smartest thing to do if you just want the look. Hmm, 5 bucks for Yellow paint, or 500 for the valve color. It's cheap, looks good, and money well saved. Take a scuff pad to the letters, and it will look much nicer

You were giving instructions on how to replicate a Spoon yellow valve cover, correct? For you to do so, you must first know the process involved in achieving the final product.
First of all Spoon doesn't "bead blast" the valve cover. Secondly, not all of them have the insignias and lettering on the face shaved to a silver finish.
In actuality, REAL Spoon valve covers are simply JDM ITR valve cover painted over with yellow paint (yes with the red finish still underneath).
I think you gave Spoon a lil' more credit than they deserved.

Sure, i'll explain why your assumptions were false.

there are two generations of the valve covers
one is red with yellow painted over it and the other is just gloss yellow paint
either can have colored or polished emblems on them there are two difrent styles that spoon made
i think bead blasting then painting it yellow if perfect for achevieng the sqme excact look as the spoon cover its about 455 dollars less too

i though on the old spoon valve covers they just painted over the red, but on the new spoon valve covers they remove the paint first...

well, i believe that my valve cover is higher quality than spoon's
therefore, if anyone would like to send me their valve cover to be bead blasted, primered, and covered w/ two coats of high temp paint.... send me an IM.
i will only charge u a fraction of what spoon charges, and you're gettin better quality.

I think it's funny how Mario tried to flame and was only 1/2 right about the SPOON valvecover.
