Default Is there a difference between 4AT & 5MT springs?

I went to Honda to order new FRONT shock assemblies (with the springs, complete) for my 1999 Honda Civic EX 2DR (5MT).

However, the parts are discontinued. I was informed that the FRONT shock assemblies for the exact 1999 Honda Civic EX 2DR, but with an automatic trans (4AT) are avaliable. Honda has different part #'s between the 5MT and 4AT assemblies, what's the difference?

Automatic springs are most likely stiffer. The automatic tranny weighs about twice as much as the manual.
