block of a 1998 civic? Getting some leaking from what looks like the timing cover - antifreeze. I just had the pump and everything done less than 8K miles ago - about 1.5 years (don't drive the car that often) with OEM parts.

there's like a 4$ gasket under the pump that may be the problem but its not worth doing it 2x if its not

Thanks. Took it in, don't have time to work on it. Shop charged $370.00 for OEM pump. Said the pump was leaking out the weep hole, pump was replaced less than 2 years ago, and less than 10K miles, along with the belt, tensioner, etc. Shop siad they never saw a Honda pump fail so soon. Anyways, new pump, and no leak. They did a few other odds and ends, broken plastic clips etc. that I pointed out. So I'm happy with the price. I did notice that the civic fired right up and seems to run better and more response. After another shop replaced the pump etc a couple of years ago, I noticed that the civic didn't start on the first key turn and seemed kind of rough at idle. The timing must have been off slightly. Runs like glass now...
