Default TERRIBLE miss... please help

first, a little background. im running a d16z6 head and block, zex quiktyme 59300 (street strip) cam, a d15z1 distributor and either a DX/LX or VX ecu. while runing the VX ecu, i have a slight miss, and my speedo only reads 25, 45, and 70mph when switching gears. while using the DX/LX ecu, i have a BAD miss, especially at low throttle levels, but i can shift at the expected shift points (approx 30, 60, 90mph). i have put new plugs and plug wires in since the problem started, and it didnt fix the problem. if anyone can provide ANY input, it would be GREATLY appreciated! IM me at dynamicauto11 or email at dynamicauto11@hotmail.com

try using the correct ecu for the engine, that should fix a lot of problems.

i thought you had to use a z6 dist with a z6 head cause the bolt pattern is different. Unless you trimmed it like some do.

and what exactly is a 'tune up'? replace plugs and wires, done that, change oil, done that... what else is there that one should do with a tune up?
