don't waste your time swapping to auto. you'll regret it later. you can find a used 5 spd tranny from $50-$250, change the flywheel, and get a new clutch. everything will slide right into place. vtec should be wired in a 92, but if not it's 2 simple wires. i have a 93 cx and dropped a d16. my motor came from an auto. i changed the fly and clutch and had to wire vtec. pretty easy.

Ok If I understand this right you will need to get a tranny $250-300 and a clutch $150-$300 flywheel $50 used. Resurface that bitch!!! and some axles$75 each. bolt trans and motor together then drop it in to car and wire anything if you need to. Then you should be done. simple maybe 6- hour work.Throw the auto away.

i don't know what the prices are out in VA, but i can get an EX tranny w/ 60,000 miles on it for $100 right now over here in WA. and i just picked up both axels for my car w/ 5,000 miles on them for $60 two weeks ago. when we swapped my motor, it took between 4 1/2 - 5 hours. but this was about 4th swap we've done on an EG. the last swap we did just for fun because we were bored.
