Default TDC Position (Code 8)

Figured this would be the correct forum since I have a D16Z6 in my CRX. Everything is converted to OBD1 via droppedcrxsi's Rywire.com and JKOBD conversion harnesses. ECU is a virgin p28 and the engine is all stock.

I've already searched and no thread had an adequate answer.

Do you HAVE TO replace the distributor to remedy this code or are the alternate methods to at least test the distributor and perhaps single out a problem in the Rywire wiring?

Just to make sure I'm not crazy, or just plain retarded, the check engine light flashes 8 times quickly (not long pauses) when jumpered to check codes and timing.

What are the pinouts in the wiring between OBD1 and OBD0 to check the Rywire harnesses and see if they are the problem? Anyone know?

Thanks a lot Honda-Tech
