Default TBs

ok after much searching and researching, i understand that there are several stock TBs from other honda/acura's that will fit my d16. my question is concerning the size of the TB in relation to my intake pipe? will i need a new pipe to fit those few extra mm's? or should i just stretch the rubber sleeve over the new TB and still use my old piping? thanks a lot

You can just stretch it over the t/b. Well at least I did when I put a LS t/b on a d16z6. You don't need a new pipe.

Mostly increased throttle response. It does seem to pull a little harder in the mid-range to upper rpms. Or it could just be a psychological thing. Unfortunately there isn't a dyno around here, so I can't get positive proof of this upgrade.

tfunk-the d16z6 has an AEM shorty on it.

actually i think i remember hearing that the 99-00 Civic Si TBs do NOT bolt up to the d16. strange b/c it is also a b-series, but i know someone who tried and said it was a big hassle, mite have to drill, etc.
