Default TAKING RADIO OF A 99 SI

does the black cover where the a/c controls go just pops out with clips or are there any screws holding it down ???

Do you see any screws? Then there probably aren't any.

The surrounding trim is all clips, but there is a metal bracket that holds the radio that is screwed not only to the trim, but to another bracket attached to the dash. You need to take off the lower plastic trim, the one with the power outlet, to gain access to these screws.

After you have those off, CAREFULLY unclip the climate trim. They break easily. You just have to get your finger behind the trim and pull.

oh no im taking off the aftermarket radio to put an original SI radio i just got the car less than a month ago lol
