taking apart tranny...

taking apart tranny...
i already took out all the 14 mm bolts that hold it onto the housing. i split it off of it, but thats as far as it goes, about an inch apart, but its still connected. what did i forget or missing?

i just assumed that that is connected to the part of the casing that is coming off...
i have it cracked apart, about an inch but it still wont come apart.

okay, be sure you've removed the bolts with the little bearings, etc. Then the one on the top side of the case, then separate and pull up on the snap ring in the top of the case.

what little bearings? arethey the allen key bolts?
and i dont see a snap ring...
what side are you considering top..?

okay
undo this plug on the topside, and within, there is these two little pieces of metal you can see, they are in a grove inside that little hole.
Stick some pliars in there and separate them, and then pull up on the case at the same time, it should come apart.
The bearing bolts, okay, imagine the tranny is still in the car, from the "underside" there are 2 bolts, i think 12 mm, i think, pull them out, there should be a spring with a tiny ball bearing in there with each, put them to the side exactly as you found them.
Then, on the top side, where the upper tranny mount attaches, there is one more bolt, pull it out, it's 12 or 14 mm also,
You need to remove these bolts before trying to pull it apart.
