Tachometer hookup for measuring RPM's
I bought a tachometer with black and red leads so I properly set the idle speed. Is there a connection somewhere on the dizzy where the red lead goes? I've searched and everyone talks about tachs related to guage clusters which is not what I'm looking for. The tach doesn't have instructions. Helm's manual doesn't help either. Oh, I drive a '92 civic DX with d15b7 engine.

There's only two wires coming from the tach? You can either tap the negative end of your coil or something easier, remove your gauge cluster and tap the all blue wire coming from the cluster harness. Oh, also there's that same color blue wire that's blue taped to your driver side shock tower plugs that you can tap as well.
