My tach stopped working!!! whatin te world could be wrong? 95 civic w gsr swap

possible reasons:

1) loose connection from cluster.
2) faulty cluster.
3) faulty dizzy.

thankks guys it ended up bieng a loose connecter in under my dizzy cap.

i got the same problem, my tach stopped workign completely last nite. it trips out every once in a while. now its just done for. how do i check out the dizzy?

checked the plugs to the cluster and its still not working

ok take off the dizzy can and rotor. you'll see a bunch of ORANGE clip-like things. press them in and make sure they are securely attached. you might have to take off the coil to see. that was the problem with mine. one of the clips werent in all the way. let me know how it goes.

i just messed wid my dizzy its not working still.i pushed on the plugs but it still doesnt work. maybe i bought a fucked up gauge cluster. it worked for liek 2-3 months. is there any other way i can fix it

na thats pretty much it. maybe check the wires for a short but thats all i can think of. most likely you got a busted cluster. sorry bud. but not having a tach isnt that bad. i have a civic dx and drove w/o a tach for a year and a half till i got a si cluster. good luck bro.
