Tach
I want to put a tach in my car. I have a 97 DX (no tach in the cluster) I want the 5" Monster tach, but i think that wouldnt look too good w/ my style. I am also considering the EX cluster guage. My concerns are, will it plug directly in?, and what happens with my odometer? Will it change w/ the computer, or will i alsways have to remember the difference. If I do opt for the 5" Monster tach, how do I wire it? Thanks!

If it's anything like the 5th gen clusters, an EX one should swap right in... your car should already be wired for the tach and everything. The speedo can be swapped from your old cluster to the new one to retain the correct mileage reading.

red = 12v power
black = ground
green = rpm (green wire on distributor?)
white = illumination (dimming switch for gauge cluster
)

The rpm wire is blue on the dx model.
