Default Tach

Where can i get a cheap white faced 5" tach. I dont want to do a console swap because of my white faced gauges and the carbon fiber that i have around there. (Yes i do like it and dont want a 100% JDM car)

i have been looking around and it seems that the white faced tachs are about 100 bux more...WTF!!!

You are going to have to bite the bullet on this one and shell out the loot.

$100 bucks is not alot for a 5" tach. I got mine from summit for $89, it is a 5" with shift lite but it has a black face. I believe Nopi sells them fairly cheap as well, but you aren't gonna find one for less than $80 if you want a 5". They usually run about $200+ for the really nice ones with all the fancy equipment, and I think the white faces run a little bit more expensive.
But like I said, you can get an autometer tach for about 90 dollars, and that's a great price

mine didn't that's why I got the tach for my car......
a gauge cluster from an SI would look nice too, but they cost just as much as a tach, if not more!

I agree, you should just bite the bullet and get a tach......it made a world a difference in my car. I wasn't revving it out at all, and it wasn't easy to go by the speed. My car was .5 seconds faster at the dragstrip after I got my tach, b/c I actaully knew how far I could take each gear. I wasn't just relying on engine sound.

is that a joke? um it took me 2 minutes to put it in...3 plugs from civic go in same spot on si cluster...2 min installation

maybe its diff for diff year into diff year..like eg si cluster into ek or vise versa

yea no tach, and call me a ricer but i dont care, i have carbon fiber around the cluster right now, and my white faced gauges would not fit if I did a console swap. I also would not get an SI cluster, since my cars not an SI...if anything the LX, or HX cluster would be better since they are closer to my cars engine

PS. i said that they are about 100 dollars MORE
i have found 5" tachs that i liked for 114 bux, but the white faced veraions are around 200 bux. IM probably going to end up fixing my computer first since this POS is about to die. so the tachs going to wait a little bit

tachs dont come cheap,..autometer is probably the most popular brand out,...but they dont come cheap either,..most people have autometer tachs so i got a pivot tach,..but the pivots cost more then autometer,..look around for a used autometer,..you might find one cheap,..try http://www.theparstrader.com ,...heres a picture of my tach
