Tightened Throttle cable...
Has anyone ever had their throttle cable tightened for better throttle response. I recently had it done at a shop, and it was not completely tightened...just enough to take out the slack in the cable...however a week later i was racing on the street when my throttle was locked open...i went into a curb sideways, messed up my axles, my front driverside rim, my front driverside strut went through my strut tower. My car could be totalled and there is no body damage whatsoever....as of now...i was just curious has anyone had a problem with their throttle cable getting tightened...any response is appreciated...im pretty depressed without my car...i hope to get it fixed soon....or get a new car..whatever the insurance company will decide to do..if they will ever send an adjuster out to look at my car anytime soon....

It's easy. You can losen or tighten it yourself. My friend and I tightened mine to hell and back. I don't think I could make it any tighter.

yea it doesnt matter as long as your opening throttle all the way at the throttle body! so just have your friend floor it with the car off and see if the butterfly will open anymore and if it does then adjust it some, so just tightening it will probably do nothin and that sucks what happened to your car!!
my friend just hydro locked his new si! all bad!
