i am putting a d16z6 in my 94 cx. i have an engine harness for the vtec engine. the cx has single wire 02 sensor.... so when i plug in my harness will i still ahve to run wires from the plugs at the strut to the ecu? and same thing for vtec. or are the wires already there, just need the correct engine harness? thanks

I just did the exact same swap...Yes you do have to run new wires for the 4 wire o2 to the plugs on the shock tower. However, you only have to run 2 wires for Vtec into the cabin to the ECU, as the wires for the 4 wire o2 already are there between the aforementioned plugs and the ECU. A friend of mine did the wiring for me, so this is just what I remember off the top of my head.

Edit: I used the stock d15b8 harness and just added the neccessary wires.

ok so.... using the vtec (d16z6) engine harness... no need to add any wires for the 02 sensor.... just run two wires for the vtec.... correct? are these two wires the two from the vtec solinoid, are there any other wires for vtec? and which color wire from which plug goes to which pin on the p28 ecu.... (obd1 ecu) . thanks a lot for all the help...
