Swapped EG's, I want your opinion!
I'm going to be building a car from the inside out. I'll start with an engine and move to a shell...who here has swapped engines? If you have swapped any of these engines, or are knowledgeable about the swaps, please give me your opinion. I'm looking for a reliable daily driver with good power.
B16a
B18a LS/VTEC head swap
H22a
H23
I'm looking at the H23 because it's cheaper than the 22 and it offers good torque. Anyone have any opinions on these?
Boost is fine as well, if I plan to go turbo later, or if you recommend forced induction on one of these as superior over the others...
Thanks!

I got a b16a obd1 in my hatch. I like it. If you are planning on going the boost route, just go b18b if you can get one cheap.

lol You shouldnt be posting here..
B20/Vtec which is B20 blcok (From CRV) with B16 head
For Turbo the LS tranny would prolly be your best bet.
But if your going All motor get the ITR 4.40 LSD tranny or the ITR 4.785 Tranny

ctr and itr aren't the same. youre the one who dosent know anything
and I know ls is better for turbo, cause of the longer gears, but lsd kicks ***.

I will do what I think is best, but I mean, you HAVE these cars, I'm still not even an owner!
I've just heard about lots of lacking in torque with B series, so thats why I was looking at the H23 and H22.
It's personal choice, but a bad choice is still a bad choice!

but us itr and jdm ctr are the same.....boo ya

Absolutely incorrect. I wish people would quit spreading nonsense about the LS tranny being better for boost.
