why would you want to do that? the Y8 flows better. flywheels are the same. intake would fit but i'd recommend against it.

i bought the D16y8 from hilltop honda in johnson city TN. $602 and all i got was the block and head nothing else. i ask about the intake and they said i could buy it for $100 more.this is a customers car i'm doing the swap on. in the area i live in hilltop honda buys all the hondas and charge an arm and leg for every thing . i bought a dizzy for my teg i payed $100 i put it in the car and it work for about 20 mi. and my car quit. i tryed to get another dizzy from them they said to bring it back so they could test it so i did and they kept it until i called and ask for it back. when i went to get it they said they ran it on a car all day. i ask to see the car that they ran it in and they couldn't find it . so i took the dizzy home and it wouldn't work on my car. i fix it by using an external coil. my friend bought an auto trans from them and took it home and put in his car . it didn't work he took it out and brought it back the next day . he asked for his money back they wouldn't give it back until he threatened them with a lawyer. if you live in this area don't go to hilltop honda they SUCK

If its going in an automatic it will work, It wont flow well, but it will work. If its going in a manual you'll need to drill out the ports on the back for the IACV, pick up a 2 wire IACV and swap the throttle body, or get an OBD1 D-series intake manifold.

wow you could have bought one from someone on hondamarketplace for less than that, and im sure it would have came with the manifold. $602 is alot for a incomplete Y8, considering that D15B's go for the same amount.

it will work, you basically have to remove all the accessories from your original Y7 and swap it over to the Y8, its a wasted but it will work.

its a customers car y7 has a spun main bearing , and he just wants the car . now can i use an 97 obd2 ex ecu if i add the 3 vtec wires. i feel like a dumbass asking all these crazy questions.i have done a few swaps. i put an H22a4 in my 88si lude and it runs good.i swapped the motor from obd2 to obd1 and the car from obd0 to obd1. you can see the lude on my profile.
