Swaped 99ex cam into 93ex motor.
Whats going on, I just got done swapping the cams, the reason behind this is that the 98-2000 cams had a higher valve lift on the intake side, same as stock on the exhaust side. But when i took it for a drive today, I hit 6000 rpms and seems to die. Alot more power from 3200-6000. But still have up to 7200rpms on the block. I think I might be running lean at 6k. But injector sizes or the same for 93-99 ex. Hav'nt got the timing perfect yet with a timing lite thats tomorrows job. but anyone think anything about the dead spot.

the cam timing will be off like 4.5 degrees. The D16Y motors cam gear is offset slightly. I have seen a post on how to fix it but cant seem to find it.

set the timing on the motor today. After the engine was wormed up and i jumped to 2 pin connector, i checked the timing and it was at the 16 degree mark already, so i set it as if there was like another 2-3 lines on the crank pulley. test drove it seems to want to rev harder at high rpms but didn't pass 6500rpm.
