i bought a gsr(b18c1) the other day. the intake cam has a aem adj. cam gear and the exhaust cam gear is stock. the valves tick. and when vtec engages it like cuts out then pulls sorta. and it redlines around 7.5 im sure the timing is off.
should i get a stock intake cam gear?
TIA

Wtf. If the cams are stock, then there is no need to have a adjustable cam gear on either cam. Replace it for a stock one, adjust the valves while youre at it.
Is the cam gear set to 0 degrees on the intake side? If its not, and the cams are stock, deffinetly get rid of it if the motor is all stock.

It doesnt really matter. Just as long as they lined up everything to TDC when installing the cam gear and timing belt. You need a timing gun to check your ignition timing. Or just line up the crank pulley to TDC and make sure everything else is aligned.
