swap troubles

Default swap troubles

i just installed a b16a swap and it turns on fine but idle sucks ***

im getting these codes

14 IAC (EACV) - idle air control valve
36 traction control found on JDM ecu's
41 Primary oxygen sensor heater

what ecu are you using? also for the iac, just unbolt it and clean out the screen then install.

hmmm. code 36? is it because some eg6' have lsd? the iac is found on the top left of the intake manifold, the throttle cable passes right in front of it.

also, the obd1's only have one o2, found on the downpipe right before the cat. easy replace.

replace the o2 sensor?

do u think it might be the wires... cuz they had to be extended and soldered

oh yeah... the car idles really low... like 500 and when ever i push gas and hold it there... it goes up and down

possibly, what civic are you swapping this to.

acctually i just switched two wires around... and reset the ecu and the o2 sensor code is gone... only thing that is left is the iac

take it out of the I/M spray the screen with some brake cleaner then let it try (thorough).

also clean the electrical connection to idle air control valve with electrical connector cleaner.
Mine does the samething especially when its cold. I tried a usdm version and it didnt work
