Default Swap for the 2000 si

I have a 2000 si and i was looking into swapping the bottom end, but im not sure what to swap in, i have been getting different answers from people i know, but half of them dont know anything, if im correct swapping the bottom end would be better then swapping the whole engine because the b16 head has better flow, any posts would be appreciated.

you could get an ls block with the crank and connecting rods and use your b16 pistons and do an ls/vtec

And B-series VTEC bottom end (B16B, B18C1 or B18C5) will bolt directly up to your head. Any B-series non-VTEC bottom end will take the Golden Eagle kit or machining to fit, but you'll get more displacement (B20A/Z or B18B).

My suggestion is the B18C1.
