suspension question tein basic damper kit
i ordered the tein basic damper coilover kit and i installed just the front the other night. (didnt have time to install the back set yet)
i also used the tein pillowball mounts instead of my old oem pillow mounts.
today i tried lowering the car, but it seems that instead of the car gettin lower it is actually gets higher. (i put the spring seat all the way up, and down to make sure i wasnt doing it the wrong way)
my question is, do the springs have to be compressed/ before u put on the pillowball mount?
is there a need to PRELOAD, like for the omnipower coilovers?
the instructions included with the coilovers and tein mounts do not mention anything about preloading or compressing the spring before putting on the pillow mount.
what could i have done wrong in the install?
are front/rear springs different sizes? that is all i can think off, maybe the rear springs are on the front shocks, i didnt bother to check, i just installed them as they came assembled in the box.
any input please would help before i take them out tom and re-install them.

"do the springs have to be compressed?"
I would imagine so. Sounds like something someone would actually need to see to help. I say do the reinstall and see what happens. Good luck.
