Suspension problm any ideas?
This may be a dumb question to some but... i just bought a 99 civic si and on the drive home the car has a very steady shimmy in the front end and also when i let off the gas pedal it decelerates very quickly. while maintaining speed it sounds like there is a humming sound coming from the rear passenger side tire. i was thinking maybe wheel bearings could be bad.. also in need of an alignement. but it just seems like there is more to it. if anyone has any ideas of what it could be that would help alot.

Re: (1stgenboost)
I'm not sure what the prob can be, but to check the wheel bearings, jack up the car with one wheel in the air at a time, and grab that wheel at 6 and 12 o'clock and check for play...if there is play then wheel bearings may be shot.

there is a scratch on the front bumper and a small block of wood holding the spalsh gaurd together, i wonder if the previous owner hit something and thats whats causing the shimmy.
